In Italy, the short-rent market is growing at double-digit rates, thanks to a 30% higher profitability compared to traditional rentals. However, management costs are higher. And it is a business suitable only for certain types of property.

In a market, the tourism/retail market, which is constantly looking for alternative solutions and returns, short-term rentals are a highly topical issue. In Italy, in 2019, out of 1.350 million leases stipulated, for a total value of €10.5 billion, 57.8% concerned short term rentals (no more than 30 days, ed.), while 30.4% were for free rent and just 11.8% for an agreed rental".
